Egyptian industrial expo proposed in South Sudan’s capital Juba

The Egyptian Embassy in South Sudan’s capital, Juba, has sent a proposal to the Egypt Expo and Convention Authority (EECA) to organise an exhibition of Egyptian industrial products in the coming period.Khaled Abul Makarem, Chairperson of the Chemical Industries Export Council, said that the exhibition will be accompanied by several promotional activities for Egyptian products. These activities will include many parties concerned with the African market.

Egypt business community sees South Sudan as promising investment destination

Fathallah Fawzi, Vice Chairperson of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA), has said that South Sudan represents a promising investment market for Egyptians. Fawzi also said that strengthening economic relations between Egypt and South Sudan will take place through an increase in the volume of trade exchange. The two countries should also focus on establishing joint investments.

Egyptian medical convoy serves 1,822 people in South Sudan

Egypt’s Minister of Health Hala Zayed announced, on Monday, that a total of 1,822 South Sudanese citizens have received medical services and medications from the Egyptian medical convoy that was dispatched to Juba, according to a ministry’s statement.The Egyptian medical convoy has been sent to Juba under the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to support the health sector in South Sudan.

Egypt organises training workshop on South Sudan investment

Egypt pushes for further water cooperation with South Sudan

Egypt holds meeting in run-up to 1st Joint Higher Committee session with South Sudan

Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation has organised a coordination meeting of the country’s ministries and entities that cooperate with South Sudan.The meeting comes as part of preparations for the 1st Session of the Joint Higher Committee between the two countries. The committee meeting, held in Cairo, was headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Vice President of Economic Affairs in South Sudan.

Egypt’s Water Resources Minister in South Sudan for cooperation talks

Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Atty arrived in the South Sudanese capital Juba, on Monday, at the head of an official delegation. The official four-day visit is set to come to an end on 25 June. 

Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat chaired, on Tuesday evening, the preparatory meetings at the ministerial level for the Egyptian-South Sudanese Joint High Committee.
